Why finding the solution is key to business success.
Many entrepreneurs feel they are in a continued state of overwhelm and are constantly trying to figure out which way is up. Others are trying to figure out how to grow their business and achieve their dreams of entrepreneurial success.
I believe that success in business starts with you identify a problem and then offer people a solution.
What problems does your business solve? Once you have the answer to this question you can then go out and find your ideal clients. If your business is like mine and you provide a service to help people with marketing or admin then you look for people who are overwhelmed and who just can’t keep on top of their admin, diary social media etc. and who are generally getting in a muddle. You then jump in and take that stress away from them and free up more of their time to focus on other things.
Your ideal client will be someone who achieves results from using your product or service with a minimal amount of time and effort. Once you focus on this ideal client you’ll know where you should spend your time and energy to successfully market your business to them.
To reach these people you could use a range of methods from email marketing to social media, podcasts and networking. Do some research and find out where your ideal clients hang out. Is it LinkedIn, Facebook or a local networking event? Once you find out the right platform to market yourself you can then find out what their specific problem is right now and show how you have the solution.
Another thing to remember is that people buy from people that they like, this is key when you’re reaching out to people who you believe need your help. Be knowledgeable, but you also need to be likeable and approachable. If you aren’t approachable people will tend to look elsewhere and find someone they can talk to about their problem and it will be that person who they deemed friendly who will solve their problem and therefore get the business.
So, the two simple steps to think about when marketing your business are:
Identify your ideal client’s problems and find the solutions
Be approachable as people buy from people they like
